Brief Explanation

What Did We Do During This Job?

We conducted a Maytag refrigerator repair in the local Staten Island, New York area.

The specific customer which we helped out with was experiencing some issues in regards to their refrigerator's ice dispenser system.

We came out to their location fairly quick and was able to get right to work in terms of properly accessing and address what was going on with their refrigerator.

After doing a brief analysis, we were able to determine that some of the internal workings of their Maytag refrigerator were giving them some issues

In the specific case of this job, the main circuit control board to the freezer ice and water dispenser was compromises and burnt in several areas.

Additionally, the ice dispenser solenoid had actually melted some of the plastic housing which was surrounding it.

1. What's The Purpose Of A Fridge Solenoid?

A Solenoid is essentially a very small piston which moves whenever an electromagnetic current moves through it.

Specifically, for the vast majority of most refrigerators, this device is used to open the main plunger to your ice dispenser in the freezer door portion of refrigerators.

Whenever you place a glass against your fridge's ice dispenser, an electric current is completed which causes the solenoid to move, thus open your ice machine plunger and releasing ice into the glass.

2. How Soon Can We Fix Your Fridge?

We strive to provide Same-Day Repairs for those spur-of-the-moment issues that can come out of nowhere and need to be addressed fast.

As soon as you give us a call, we'll set up an appointment time that works best around your schedule and come out to resolve your problems ASAP.

3. Are Refrigerators Worth The Repair?

Unlike a $30 microwave or a $20 toaster, a standard, 2 refrigerator is easily the most expensive appliance in the room in terms of your kitchen.

Even regular, more budget-friendly units still tend to teeter around the $350-400 range or so, and that's a lot for a home appliance.

While repairs may not be immediately necessary for every appliance, they certainly shouldn't be ignored when it comes to refrigerators.

Choosing to have your fridge repaired sooner versus later will save you from having to worry about anything else excessive going awry with the unit.

Since nearly every system is connected to each other, if one portion of the cycle is out of whack, then the odds are that, sooner or later, another portion of the unit may become so as well.

4. What Can A Delayed Important Repair Result In?

A lack of cold, secure food storage can lead up to many expensive trips for ice bags, and that's just one of the cheapest possible outcomes.

A defective fridge can force you to prioritize the storage space of your cold food and even make you decide whether you should just cook it all or toss it out.

And when put together, all of these lead to many lost hours of free time that could have been spent more effectively and efficiently elsewhere.

Not to mention that outright purchasing a new refrigerator isn't a luxury that most are able to afford.

Don't put off your deserved refrigeration needs any longer.

Call Us Today to bring the cold back to your fridge.

5. Do We Bring & Use Our Own Tools?

Yes, we do bring and use our own personal equipment and tools.

Some businesses might do repairs and installation on the side now and then and may have never been able to quite justify purchasing the proper professional tools and equipment to have readily on hand.

Can you think of hiring someone to repair your home appliance and then having them ask if YOU have any tools that they could briefly borrow?

It's almost sad to hear, but it can happen sometimes.

Lucky for you that you'll never have to worry about that situation coming up with us.

6. Can We Help With Other Appliances Too?

In addition to Refrigerators, we're great at performing other appliance repairs, replacements, and installations for units such as:

- Dishwashers

- Freezers

- Washers

- Dryers

- Ovens

- Ice Makers

- And so on.

Odds are that if there's a home appliance that's giving you some trouble, We're Able To Help!
