A recent project which came to light to us came in the form of a nearby customer whose Whirlpool refrigerator was giving them some troubling issues.
They were mainly experiencing lukewarm levels of cooling within their refrigerator, which is never acceptable.
Once they gave us a call, we were able fit them into our schedule at a convenient time that worked best around their needs.
After we then arrived at their location, we went right to work in accessing their unit as to what the problem could be.
Sometimes a lack of cool air is as simple as a misaligned seal in the doorframe or a door that's slightly crooked and not closing properly.
Upon closer inspection though, we soon discovered that the refrigerator's evaporator had a bad defrost thermostat and therefore needed a brand new one.
A common myth that many believe is that refrigerators pump air into the unit, make it cold as it's entering in and then voila. Nice cold food and drinks.
But actually, this isn't exactly the case.
A refrigerator system actually pulls hot air out of the unit, not pump cold air into it.
But since this unit's evaporator had a bad defrost thermostat, a fair portion of hot air was staying within the yet, thus, rendering the rest of the systems redundant.
That is, until we replaced it with a good one, and then everything was all back to normal.
While we were at it, we noticed that their top mount thermostat was close to being on its last leg as well.
We were very frank with the customer and mentioned that while their unit could likely still run for a while on it, it would still likely need to be replaced in the future.
With this personal advice in mind, they gave us the go-ahead to replace that too since we were already there.
This was a smart decision which will likely spare them from much undue hassle and running around in the future.
They were also very grateful that we pointed this out to them without being dishonest and falsely claiming that it was "broken" when it really wasn't, but likely would be at some point.
We've been repairing refrigerators for over 15+ Years now!
1,000's of units have been repaired by our very own hands, and we've seen all there is to see.
From small, simple repairs all the way up to emergency overhauls, we've done it all.
We're amazing at what we do, and we're confident that You'll Be Amazed as well!
Additionally, we're even able to Price Match our Competitors!
So long as the other competing repair company's quote is in writing and for the same type of repair and/or part in regards to your freezer, we'll be able to match their price for you.
A lack of cold, secure food storage can lead up to many expensive trips for ice bags, and that's just one of the cheapest possible outcomes.
A defective fridge can force you to prioritize the storage space of your cold food and even make you decide whether you should just cook it all or toss it out.
And when put together, all of these lead to many lost hours of free time that could have been spent more effectively and efficiently elsewhere.
Not to mention that outright purchasing a new refrigerator isn't a luxury that most are able to afford.
Don't put off your deserved refrigeration needs any longer.
Call Us Today to bring the cold back to your fridge.
Unlike a $30 microwave or a $20 toaster, a standard, 2-door refrigerator is easily the most expensive appliance in the room in terms of your kitchen.
Even regular, more budget-friendly units still tend to teeter around the $350-400 range or so, and that's a lot for a home appliance.
While repairs may not be immediately necessary for every appliance, they certainly shouldn't be ignored when it comes to refrigerators.
Choosing to have your fridge repaired sooner versus later will save you from having to worry about anything else excessive going awry with the unit.
Since nearly every system is connected to each other, if one portion of the cycle is out of whack, then the odds are that, sooner or later, another portion of the unit will be as well soon.
We strive to provide Same-Day Repairs for those spur-of-the-moment issues that can come out of nowhere and need to be addressed fast.
As soon as you give us a call, we'll set up an appointment time that works best around your schedule and come out to resolve your problems ASAP.
